Salon Reviews and SEO settings

New features have been added to improve the SEO data for reviews pulled into a webpage from YourSalon.co

The example below is for Voodou (before I edited the values) and clicking the image will take you to the settings page on YourSalon.co  (log in first).

1. On the salon's Review Settings page you can add default values to use on ALL Reviews...

Avatar Alt/Title - for all sites this defaults to "Salon Review" - you should add their main location to the text e.g. "Salon Review Liverpool". This means all reviews pulled into any page will include that data as the avatar image Alt & Title.

Service Used - This is the default used for all reviews for this salon. Probably blank on this page.

Business Type - these are used for Structured Date for Google and should be set for all sites to be appropriate.

2. On the individual Review Edit page you can override the settings above for each review...

Service Used - to overwrite the Salon setting or system default. It can be  specific e.g. Balayage. Useful when  tagging reviews to pull into service pages.

Location - Added to the 'author' leaving the review as their 'homeLocation' - 'review' > 'author' > 'homeLocation' > 'name'. Gives us the chance to include data for nearby locations.

Avatar Alt/Title - to overwrite the Salon settings with its location text. Gives us another chance to include data for nearby locations.

3. On the Reviews Shortcode use  alt="New text here" to overwrite all avatar alt/title values.
