Your Guide To Getting A Grant For Your Salon Or Clinic
Grants for Hair, Beauty & Aesthetics Salons
While there are very few grants specifically for hair, beauty and aesthetics businesses, there are dozens of small business, digital transformation, high street improvement, tourism, sustainability and growth grants that salons can use to fund:
- New websites and e-commerce
- SEO and digital marketing
- Online booking systems
- CRM and client management software
- Salon refurbishments
- Energy-efficient equipment
- Staff training
- Business growth projects
- New treatment rooms
- Technology upgrades.
Some of our clients are beginning to take advantage of local grants so this article is designed to help guide salons looking to build different aspects of their business through local funding.

Growth Hubs
Growth Hubs and local authorities are often the best starting point. Bear in mind that grants vary by region and usually have deadlines so applications must be completed within a set timeframe. Start by contacting your local Growth Hub and register with your local council business support team.
Ask specifically about:
- Website grants
- Digital marketing grants
- Digital adoption grants
- Shopfront improvement grants
- UKSPF funding
Be prepared to show a business plan, your latest accounts, a marketing plan, and have three supplier quotations available if you want to refurbish or extend your premises.
Apply as soon as funding windows open, as most schemes are first-come, first-served and often require match funding from the business.
Case Study: Funding Salon Websites
Salon Guru recently supported a hair salon in Durham in securing funding to support a complete website redevelopment. The local authority grant programme enabled the business to invest in a full website redesign, refreshed content, and improvements to the overall user experience.
Since the new website launched in February 2026, the salon has seen a significant increase in online traffic, with visits rising from 3,597 between February and May 2025 to 5,065 during the same period in 2026 – an increase of more than 40%. The enhanced website has helped strengthen the salon's online presence and improve engagement with both existing and prospective clients.
Salon Guru is also supporting a second hair salon in Wolverhampton with a separate application for local authority grant funding. The proposed project will deliver a refreshed website with updated content and a modernised design, helping the business better showcase its services and attract new customers online.
With many funding programmes launching around the start of the new financial year, it is worth keeping a close eye on announcements from local councils, growth hubs, and business support networks from April onwards, as these can provide valuable opportunities for businesses looking to invest in their digital presence and future growth.
