Stage 1: Communicate Your Protection Strategy To Clients & Staff

STAGE 1
It's important you position yourself as THE salon in your area which is acting responsibly and taking action to protect staff and clients.  Talk to your Salon Guru Client Manager about updating your website to explain the precautions you have taken. These might include:

  • Hand sanitiser available for clients and team
  • Reassurance that your kit is sterilised between clients
  • The use of disposable towels and gowns (or that they are washed daily on a high heat)
  • Regular and thorough cleaning of the salon using anti-bacterial spray, with particular on areas of multiple contact such as door handles, handrails, toilet flushes, taps, credit card machine and other areas of multiple contact
  • The removal of newspapers and magazines within the salon
  • All staff working to the highest hygiene standards and following Government and NHS guidelines
  • Having a dedicated space where you can cater for the over 70s, pregnant women and people with an underlying health condition
  • Anything else you are doing that is out of the ordinary - e.g. perhaps you are opening just two days a week but working longer hours on those days
