A Salon Guru Case Study : Peewees
Peewees is a well-established hairdressing salon in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. It was founded in 1986 by internationally renowned hairdresser Lee Gold and has a reputation for excellent hair cuts, colours and customer service. It also prides itself on using ethical and cruelty-free hair-care products from Paul Mitchell.
Peewees is a member of the National Hairdressers’ Federation and has regularly been awarded the 5 Star Certificate of Excellence by Salon Spy.
After initially creating their own website, the Peewees management team realised that they lacked the necessary knowledge and expertise to move it forward, prompting them to contact Salon Guru. Their current website was launched in summer 2018.
We asked Peewees General Manager Tracey Prescott about her experience of working with the Salon Guru team. She tells us “I have found that all the support team is knowledgeable and full of creative ideas within the hairdressing industry and social media and marketing.
Since the initial chat with Phil to discuss what we wanted our website to do for us and our customers, existing and potential new ones, they understood what our company objectives were and what was important to us especially with ethical cruelty free products.”
In terms of updates to the website and marketing plan, Tracey says “You get contacted on a regular basis with new ideas and to create a plan for the following weeks / months with website changes, promotions, seasonal etc.”
Tracey has especially appreciated the support from the Salon Guru team during the Covid pandemic: “All the Salon Guru team are on the ball with current affairs including the pandemic rules and regulations and how we need to keep our clients at ease with feeling safe by communicating what we are doing as a company to ensure this.”
In summary, Tracey says
“We definitely now have a 21st century website!”
